October 19, 2026

·       Gauss Fusion has closed its Seed-to-A financing, with investments by its founders, industrial partners, and visionary existing and new shareholders

·       Proceeds support the further development and validation of enabling, proprietary modular high-field magnet and key fuel breeding technologies

·       Gauss has commenced Series A fundraising with significant inbound investor interest in the industrial fusion venture, and its unique focus on the development of long-lived, economical stellarator fusion power plants

MUNICH, Germany, 19 October 2026 – Gauss Fusion, the industrial fusion energy venture, has closed its Seed-to-A financing and commenced Series A fundraising following significant inbound investor interest.

The financing supports the next phase of Gauss Fusion's technology development program to further advance its proprietary key technologies, focused on demonstrating and developing series production to enable fusion power plants designed to operate reliably over decades.

Gauss Fusion is pursuing a distinctive approach to fusion energy, combining advanced high-field stellarator physics, rigorous systems engineering, proprietary enabling technologies and the manufacturing expertise of established industrial partners. Its aim is to develop fusion power plants that work, that are economical and reliable, and that have operational lifetimes of more than 50 years.

The Gauss Fusion unique GIGA™ fusion power plants avoid unnecessary technology risks, excessive neutron damage, and are designed with manufacturability, maintenance, long-term reliability and uptime as central requirements. Key to this approach is a staged development program to progressively reduce technical and industrial risk.

It builds on Gauss Fusion's independently reviewed Conceptual Design Report (CDR) for GIGA™, its modular stellarator fusion power plant platform. Key enabling technologies include the Gauss proprietary Demountable Mitchell Magnets (DMM™), designed for scalable manufacturing, assembly and maintenance; HEXA™ modular solid-state breeding blanket technology; and PinkCap™ plasma-exhaust technology. Together, these proprietary technologies address key requirements for the future operation and maintainability of industrial fusion power plants.

Dr. Uwe Bau, CEO of Gauss Fusion, said:

"Our Seed-to-A financing provides a strong foundation for the next stage of our industrial development program. With significant inbound investor interest, we are commencing our Series A fundraising to support further engineering, prototyping and validation of our critical technologies.

"Our ambition goes beyond demonstrating scientific net energy gain. We are developing the engineering and industrial foundations for power plants that can be manufactured, maintained and operated reliably over decades. Our staged approach builds the evidence needed for successive phases, while making disciplined use of capital and the capabilities of industrial partners."

Gauss Fusion's medium-term pathway includes the Gauss Industrial Demonstrator (GID-170), intended to bring critical technologies together and validate their integration as the venture progresses towards future fusion power plants.

By combining proprietary technologies with already established industrial capabilities and public research partnerships, Gauss Fusion builds the engineering and manufacturing foundations for the industrial deployment of long-lived, economical fusion power plants that work.
